Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn has refused to deny that he was present for the entire 1970s when the IRA was active, people were more racist and Jim’ll Fix it was on the TV every Saturday.
The shocking revelations show indicate that Mr Corbyn may have memories of white dog poo on the pavements and the Black and White Minstrel show and despite this he’s vying to navigate Britain through difficult Brexit negotiations.
During an interview with BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg, Mr Corbyn refused to condemn the entire decade and would only concede that some parts of the 1970s were terrible as he repeatedly sidestepped requests to promise that he had leapt seamlessly from 1969 to 1980 without playing any part in the 1970s at all.
“He’s like a slippery eel. But it looks like he’s not only been present for the entire 1970s, he’s actively participated in them” Ms Kuenssberg explained.
The revelations have deeply angered many conservative voters who would have been unlikely to vote for Mr Corbyn anyway.
“It’s difficult to argue that he’s not planning to take us back to the 1970s when every time you look at a picture taken in the 1970s with him in it, he’s right there, and he’s clearly up to something.” One Conservative activist explained.
