The Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Khamenei has published an open letter to the “Youth in Europe and North America” demanding that they stop ignoring the dwarf planet Pluto and start treating it like any other planet.
The letter claims the West is subject to a disinformation campaign from its politicians and criticizes Western media sources which stop at Neptune when listing the planets in the solar system from the sun outwards.
The letter reads “I have a 1970s ladybird book on the planets that specifically mentions Pluto at the end. In the west this book has now been outlawed and it is illegal for you to carry on listing planets after Uranus and Neptune. This is why you must question all authority except me.”
The Supreme Leader has come under fire from western politicians for failing to mention his belief that he personally owns the dwarf planet.
A furious Richard Littlejohn in the Daily Mail said “The Iranian space program has been kept very much under wraps but the general consensus through the media in Iran is that he has personally been there and declared it an Islamic State under his absolute rule. I don’t know if you’ve looked at Pluto through a telescope recently but it’s going to hell in a handcart. Yet these people want us to reinstate it as a planet. Well it’s not happening. Someone’s got to stand up, And sit down. And stand up again.”
One European young person said “It’s so confusing. I want Pluto to be a planet. But I don’t know who to believe.”
