UKIP leader Paul Nuttall has defended his decision to put 48b Bollocks avenue, Stoke-on-Trent on his election nomination form even thought he apparently doesn’t know where it is.
A defiant Mr Nuttall told us”I’ve lived in Bollocks avenue for years. I just can’t actually direct you there because every time I go home it’s dark and someone gives me a lift.”
The explanation has come as a welcome assurance for Stoke locals following scurrilous rumours that the UKIP leader and parliamentary candidate might not actually live in Stoke at all.
Indeed one Stoke local told us “When I heard Nuttall was telling people he was a local I said to him, where do you live in Stoke Paul? Bollocks avenue? And he said, ‘yes as a matter a fact I do’. Well it all sounds a bit fishy to me. I’ve lived on Bollocks avenue all my life and I’ve never even seen him there.”
However Mr Nuttall has dismissed allegations that he has been caught bullshitting.
“Yes that’s it. I live an Bullshitting Court. Flat 3. Stoke on Trent. I must have put the wrong address down on the form by a mistake. I’m proper local me.”
